Application Process For Hungary Guest Investor Program

The expected timeframe for the application process is 4-6 months. The first stage of the document collection can differ in length depending on the applicant’s ability to gather the documents. Our team guides this process with samples and best practice advice. The reviewal stage is subject to the respective government schedule and can be impacted by factors which we, as authorised agents have no control over. We collaborates with the government throughout the entire process, and we aim to provide the quickest and smoothest experience for the applicant.

Step 1

We shall pre-screen your passport copy for government pre-approval to ensure smooth processing. A down payment of the professional fees will be required to open your application.

Step 2

At this phase, the investor initiates their application for a temporary Category D visa, which grants them the opportunity to proceed with the residency process. The entire visa D application process can be completed through the investor's nearest Hungarian consulate or embassy.

Step 3

Upon approval of the visa D application, the investor is required to visit Hungary not later than 93 days from the visa approval date for identity verification with a representative of the property fund; signing investment related documents and opening of investment account for the investor. Submission of residency application will be done on the same day or the next day maximum after the identification. It is recommended that investors plan 2 business days in Budapest to complete this process.

Step 4

nvestment must be completed not later than 3 months after submission of the residence application. Approval of the residence application takes between 21-30 days after Codex confirms the receipt of the investment and issues an investment certificate.

Step 5

Issuance of guest investor residency card typically takes 7 days after approval. We will collect the residency card once it’s issued and courier to the investor’s address. The residency card will be valid for 10years and can be renewed for another 10years if the investment is kept.

Step 6

Once the Permanent Residency Permit has been granted, the applicant must visit Cyprus within one year to obtain the actual permit and passport stamps. The remaining 50% our fees are paid.
